Can I visit the depot to look at stone before I buy?

How long does a custom cut or a lamp fitting take?
A stock cooking slab or panel is usually boxed within a few working days of a confirmed order. A custom cut waits on a signed dimension sheet and then takes as long as the saw and the finish allow, which we state in writing before work starts. Lamp shades sit on the slow lathe and need a four hour burn test, so they are quoted with their own lead time.
Can you reseal a slab I already own?
Yes. Bring it to the depot or post it with a note inside the crate. We log and photograph it on arrival, strip the old finish, bring the block back to a low moisture reading and apply a fresh coat suited to the use. If the block is beyond saving we will tell you rather than charge for a coat that will not hold.
